I provide online therapy for clients in California through a video platform. As a mom, I know first hand that having a baby means a major practical shift. Online therapy reduces the logistical stress, allows you to seamlessly continue to therapy, and offers flexibility, making scheduling simpler.
While most of my clients are new moms, I work with others too! I have experience working with clients of all ages (toddlers to aging adults) and backgrounds. Reach out today to see if we are a good fit!
EMDR has been found to be just as effective online as in-person. I utilize RemotEMDR, which is a video platform with an embedded light bar to follow across the computer screen with your eyes for bilateral stimulation during EMDR processing. It's very user friendly and as easy as simply clicking on a link to start your video session.
Yes, I currently accept Cigna, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross California, United Healthcare, and Oxford. I utilize two billing and insurance platforms called Alma and Headway that provide an estimate of your coverage and copay. Feel free to reach out to me for more info!
My fee for individual sessions is $200 and couples therapy is $250 per session. I also provide superbills. This means, if you have a PPO insurance plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursements for a portion of the session cost. You can check with your insurance if you are eligible and, if so, the amount they would reimburse.
A typical counseling session is 50 minutes. Sessions are weekly. Once goals have been met and we are close to ending sessions, we may drop down to every other week for a short period of time.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
